About Me

My name is Nataliia Becker and I'm a professional artist mostly working on people and animal portraits. I have been creating my art for about 7 years in my studio here in Topeka, Kansas. Using mostly pastels and colored pancils, I prefer realistic style with high attention to details.

Every portrait is traditionally drown by hand with the help of good quality reference photographs that my client provides to achieve a true likeness with the finished art.

For the importance of a long lasting through generations I use the highest quality art materials such as Fiber Castel Pitt Pastel Pencils, CarbOthelo Stabilo Pastel Pencils, Fiber Castel Polychromos and Caran D”Ache Luminance 6901 Pencils, some from Derwent Colorsoft and Drawing collections. All the pencils are archival, with the highest degree of lightfastness. Paper is usually Clairefontaine Pastelmat or Fabriano Artistico Hot Press.
